Producer Lou Lomas shares her picks from this year’s Festival of Imagineers:
We have been busy creating a really vibrant and unique programme over the past few months, having amazing conversations with artists, makers, engineers, imagineers and pioneers! We’ve packed in lots of artists talks, works in development, new work and collaborations. Our theme this year is connectivity, which is an important part of our ethos here at Imagineer, as we connect with so many amazing people, artists and practitioners in our home city and across the UK and internationally.
My two picks are shows that are new to the city of Coventry: Motionhouse’s BLOCK and IOU’s Rear View.
Rear View will take you on a journey through the city in a reflective, thought provoking way: on the back of a double decker bus. Meet outside the Transport Museum and embark on a transformative experience from Thursday 20th September 2018 – Saturday 22nd September.
BLOCK is an extraordinary show in which contemporary dance meets circus. The Cathedral Ruins will be transformed by Motionhouse on Wednesday 19 September for a twilight 8pm performance.
I’d advise that you book early to avoid disappointment!
